Mark commenced his finance career in 1981 with the Commonwealth Bank, where he held a number of specialist lending positions. He then moved into his own business and commenced a finance broking operation in an alliance arrangement with Queensland Pacific Finance. Since 1996 Mark and his wife Sonya have developed a well-known and respected profile in the Gold Coast area operating as Robina Business Finance.

Along with long-time colleagues Andrew Robinson & Lisa Healey, Mark & Sonya took up a partnership with CrediFlex in July 2001.
